Valuable scarves and socks forgotten on airplanes
Aviasales experts found that 25% of Russian travelers lost something on airplanes. The PR-director of the service, Janis Dzenis, said that during the survey of 25 thousand people, the most popular forgotten thing is gloves, more than 50% of respondents lost them at least once.

According to the survey, the phone is in the 2nd place in terms of loss frequency, and the headphones are in 3rd place. In addition, the top of the lost property office documents, laptops and chargers.

Study participants shared their loss stories. For example, a family from St. Petersburg on the way to China forgot clothes at every transplant. They reached their destination without a single warm thing, since Beijing turned out to be in good weather. And a tourist from Novosibirsk noticed that he got off the plane and passed passport control absolutely barefoot.

Flight attendants, in turn, during the survey said that stewards found passports, tablets and books in the pockets of their seats, and forgotten hats and scarves in the far corners of the upper shelves. In this case, the most common finds were carrying a child, a bag full of socks to the top, and a 1.5-meter minion.

In Russia, ownerless things are stored for more than six months, after which they are destroyed. At international airports, forgotten luggage can remain for 2 years, and then it can be sold at special auctions. Such auctions are especially popular in Europe and the USA. Airlines carry out sales of demanded baggage. Although Russia will soon succeed in acquiring such a lot due to legislation, travelers are actively using eBay to buy demanded items, because, in addition to socks and scarves, real values can be there.
